Interested in representing the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences? Love attending events with amazing people? Want to enhance your professional development skills? CAFES Ambassadors is the place for you!

The CAFES Ambassador team is a group of individuals with a passion for agriculture and Cal Poly. Outreach is the primary goal of the ambassadors to promote higher education, Cal Poly, and the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences. Some of the main duties of the ambassadors are to give tours to prospective students, elementary students, and guests around the college as well as the surrounding units.

The club also offers students the opportunity to travel the state and even the country by attending conferences such as the California State FFA Conference and National FFA Convention. Students also have the opportunity to visit high schools and junior colleges to promote Cal Poly Agriculture.

Cal Poly is fortunate to host the annual California State Agricultural Ambassador Conference for students to discuss plans of outreach, events, and create an incomparable network between their peers and industry professionals.

Ambassadors are closely partnered with the CAFES Dean’s office and assist with events such as Open House and Fall Preview. This also gets students involved in the community by volunteering at agricultural education events such as The Great Pumpkin Contest and Farm City Nights.

During their early weekly meetings, students are awoken by extraordinary industry professionals from all fields of agriculture, and enjoy a free breakfast every week.

In addition to advancing their professional skills, the team has out-of-this-world social events where laughter is the main subject of discussion.

No matter what field of agriculture you study, it is amazing what a team with the same passion and goal can accomplish.

Join CAFES Ambassadors by coming to the weekly meetings, Thursday at 7:00 a.m., enjoy some delicious breakfast, and show your Mustang Pride.
