2019 Photo Bootcamp Student Highlights

Over the weekend of November 1st and 2nd Dr. Scott Vernon, a professor in the Agricultural Communication department, hosted the 2019 photo bootcamp. Twelve students got the opportunity to spend the weekend learning about different camera techniques from professionals in the photography industry as well as go out and get hands on experience shooting in the field.

Overall, the weekend was a great learning experience for all who attended. Students said that they most enjoyed learning about how light affects the look of a photo, product shots and becoming more familiar with the manual settings on their cameras.

The mission of Cal Poly’s Brock Center for Agricultural Communication is to create a bridge of communication between the agricultural industry, the media and the public. AgCircle Magazine, made by the Brock Center, is solely produced by students and 1,500 copies are distributed each printing.
